    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: October 16, 2026

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails as the sole legally binding text.

Coach Kona ("we", "our", "us") places high importance on protecting the personal data of its users. This privacy policy aims to inform you transparently about how we collect, use, store, share and protect your personal data when you use our Coach Kona mobile app.

    1. Who we are

Coach Kona is a personalized coaching mobile app dedicated to triathletes of all levels. It provides smart training plans, adapted in real time to your profile, performance and goals.

Coach Kona is published by REMIA, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS), SIREN 105 188 841, the controller of your personal data.

    2. Data collected

When you use the app, we collect the following data with your explicit consent:

    a. Personal data

    • First name, last name
    • Email
    • Gender, date of birth
    • Info related to your athletic level or goals

    b. Health and performance data

    • Heart rate
    • Training data (distance, duration, intensity, etc.)
    • Sleep, recovery, weight stats (if synced)

    c. Technical data

    • Device type, iOS / Android version
    • Device identifiers
    • Crash logs
    • Your phone's advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, Google advertising ID on Android) and an anonymous identifier assigned by Meta, only if you accept (see section 5)

    3. Purpose of processing

    Collected data is used to:

    • Create and personalize your training plans
    • Track your performance and adapt your program
    • Improve the user experience of the app
    • Send relevant notifications
    • Run internal analyses and statistics
    • Respond to your requests via user support
    • Measure the effectiveness of our ads on Facebook and Instagram, meaning which ad brought you to Coach Kona, only if you accept

    4. Data sharing

We never sell your personal data. It may only be shared with:

    • Firebase (Google): usage analytics and notifications
    • OneSignal: push notifications
    • App Store / Apple and Google Play / Google: app distribution
    • RevenueCat: management of your subscriptions. It is RevenueCat that sends trial and subscription events to Meta, with your consent
    • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Facebook, Instagram): measurement of our ads, only with your consent. We then share your phone's advertising identifier, an anonymous identifier, your answer to the tracking request, technical characteristics of your device (app and system versions, language, time zone, carrier, screen size) and five events: install, account creation, questionnaire submission, trial start, subscription with its amount. Never your health or training data. Before you consent, the Meta component built into the app sends no identifier and no event: it only loads its technical configuration (IP address, app identifier, version). On iPhone, Apple may also tell Meta that an install came from an ad, without any identifier or personal data (SKAdNetwork)

All these partners comply with the GDPR and with Apple's and Google's rules.

    5. Consent and permissions

    You can at any time:

    • Change or withdraw your consent (app settings)
    • Disable the collection of certain data via iOS settings
    • Request the deletion of your data by email

Measurement of our ads: on iPhone, Apple's prompt shown after you create your account asks for your consent; you can change it at any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. On Android, the "My ads" screen shown at the same moment asks for your consent; you can change it at any time in your profile, "Ad measurement". Withdrawing your consent stops all sending to Meta. Data already shared remains subject to Meta's privacy policy.

    6. Data retention

Data is kept for as long as you use the app and up to 2 years after your last activity, unless you request otherwise.

    7. Data security

We implement all technical and organizational measures necessary to guarantee the security of your data: encryption, secure hosting, regular audits, restricted access, secure authentication.

    8. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

    • Right of access to your data
    • Right to rectification or erasure
    • Right to object to or restrict processing
    • Right to data portability
    • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

To exercise your rights: contact@kona.coach or from your personal space in the app.

    9. Changes

We reserve the right to change this policy. You will be notified of any major change through the app.
