Race Day - What to Expect and the Rules

A poorly attached bib number, a helmet unclipped a second too early - and that's a penalty, even if your legs are ready. On your first race day, the clock isn't just counting your training. It's also counting your ability to navigate each step without stress: picking up your bib, listening to the briefing, showing up at the start line properly. A race always follows the same sequence. When you know this sequence, you'll arrive calm, avoid silly penalties, and focus on what matters: moving forward. This module gives you the complete map, from the parking lot to the finish line.

    What you'll learn

    • You'll know the complete race day sequence, from bib pickup to the finish line.
    • You'll master the basic rules to approach your race with peace of mind and avoid the most common penalties.
    • You'll show up at the start line ready and confident, relying on referees and the federation, in addition to your coach, club, or health professionals.
    • You'll understand drafting and bike rules.
    • You'll identify 'C' races as your ideal learning ground for getting transitions and rules down, without performance pressure.
