Choose Your Strength Based on Your Profile and Discipline

Two triathletes, the same strength training program, two opposite results. Why? Because not all triathletes are built the same, and not all disciplines benefit equally from a kilo of muscle. You already know that strength training makes you faster and protects you, and you know how to periodize it over your season. What you're missing is the custom fit. In this module, you'll learn to read your own profile, choose exercises that truly transfer to the water, bike, and run, and organize your training in the right order. The goal: turn every minute of strength training into useful speed, without wasting time on what doesn't pay off.

    What you'll learn

    • You identify your dominant profile, whether powerful or endurance-focused, to guide your strength training between heavy loads and very repetitive light work.
    • You choose exercises that mimic triathlon movements and discard those that don't transfer to your disciplines.
    • You organize your strength training in the order that yields the most benefit: cycling first, then running, then swimming.
    • You balance your prime mover muscles with their antagonists to cycle and run strongly without making yourself vulnerable.
    • You measure your strength progress simply, without sophisticated equipment, and build strength even without a gym thanks to 'force reps'.
